Key Features
Device Management
- Remote configuration of IoT devices
- FOTA: Signed over-the-air firmware updates
- Mass import for devices, planning of larger deployments
Data & Integration
- High-efficiency time-series database
- Horizontal scalable data pipeline
- Multi-tenancy (multi-level)
- User management including role-based access control
External Integrations
Forward received data to third-party systems via:
- REST API (HTTP)
- HTTP Forward
- MQTT Forward
- SFTP Upload (CSV)
- CSV Export
Device APIs
The platform receives data from IoT devices over multiple protocols:
| Protocol | Notes |
|---|---|
| CoAP via UDP / DTLS | Used by Lobaro LTE/NB-IoT devices |
| MQTT(S) | |
| HTTP(S) | |
| LoRaWAN (LNS) | ChirpStack, TTN/TTI, Element IoT, Niotix, Actility, Loriot, Wanesy |
MQTT Broker Module
The integrated MQTT broker is ready to use out of the box — secure, standards-compliant, and open to existing infrastructure:
- Seamless connection of all Lobaro sensors and gateways (automatic provisioning)
- Supports all MQTT-compatible third-party devices (MQTT 3.1.1 & 5.0)
- Broker Bridge: connects the platform to existing MQTT brokers (Mosquitto, HiveMQ, AWS IoT, etc.) — Lobaro devices attached to a third-party broker remain fully manageable (FOTA, remote config)
- Integrated web client for live monitoring and diagnostics — no tool download required
- TLS encryption and authentication active by default; ACL access control at topic level
- Multi-tenancy: strict isolation between tenants and devices
wM-Bus / M-Bus Parser
The integrated M-Bus parser decodes M-Bus and wireless M-Bus telegrams directly to human-readable JSON — on-premise, no external service required:
- M-Bus (EN 13757) and wireless M-Bus (OMS) decoding
- AES-128 decryption (Modes 3, 5, 7, 9 and others)
- Key management for encrypted wM-Bus devices
- Compatible with meters from all major manufacturers
- Included in all platform licences; also available as a standalone licence
Supported Devices
- ✅ All Lobaro devices
- ✅ Metering gateways: Lobaro wM-Bus Gateway, QUNDIS Q Gateway 6 Direct, Lansen Wireless M-Bus Gateway
- ✅ All MQTT-compatible third-party devices
