app-hybrid-modbus
This page describes the Lobaro hybrid Modbus gateway firmware, called app-hybrid-modbus. It runs on several
hardware variants of the Hybrid Industrial Gateways, so this
common description is valid for all products independently of the actual hardware it runs on.
Discontinued
The products running this firmware are discontinued. The successor is the Gateway V4 + Edge, which is documented with the app-nrf91-origin firmware.
Capabilities
The gateway reads, caches and forwards data from Modbus enabled devices to the Internet:
- Sensor interfaces: Modbus ASCII and Modbus RTU (RS-485), wireless M-Bus, wired M-Bus (article #8000200 only)
- Uplinks: LTE-M, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN and — on the externally powered variants — LAN
Limitations
- Modbus over TCP is not supported.
- Modbus downlinks work only with LoRaWAN, not with LTE-M / NB-IoT.
